Why Baymore.com and Why Now?
You may be asking why Baymore.com was created and why now? The fact that you are here means that you’ve most likely done some business with the eBay. Well, so have I.

Frustration Turned Passion.
I use to do all of my auction business with eBay. In the beginning it was all fun and exciting but, it didn't take long for reality set in. I quickly realized that I was paying out a lot of money in listing fees and sales commissions. Lets not forget about re-listing fees for the items that didn't sell the first time around. And, at the risk of sounding like I'm running them down, I found that not only was eBay expensive but also unresponsive in the extreme; hey its the truth. I almost forgot to mention all the restrictions eBay has. I was trying to sell low cost low margin items on eBay and making no money in the process. I was not happy. I began to search for something else.

Searching, I found lots of other auction sites but none gave me the same comfort level that I felt with eBay. With eBay you were fairly confident that they were going to be in business long term and that they had the wherewithal to maintain their site and services. I had to find an alternative that gave me that same comfort level. I had to find an alternative that gave me what I wanted. I continued my research. There had to be an alternative...or maybe I could create one.

An Ironic Twist of Fate.
One day I was shopping on eBay and ran across an auction listing where someone was actually trying to sell an auction site on eBay; how ironic I thought. I read the listing and moved on but, the listing kept summoning me back. Well, I think you can see where this is going. I bought the site off eBay and after lots of work; Baymore.com went live on March 8, 2003. And now as Paul Harvey used to say, you know the rest of the story.

Success But, It Is Taking Time as New Ventures Do.
Baymore.com has been around a while now, but most sellers forget about the site and their account if they list a few items and then don't have immediate success. Personally I have brought and sold over 50 items on Baymore, most withing the last 24 months and, there are many others who have had the same good success.

And now the really exciting stuff, Baymore.com moves to the next generation of auction software. This is Baymore.com’s third move. This move ads new services, more options, and expanded automation. Baymore.com now takes on a more professional look and feel. You have to see the new Member Community Forums and Member Blogs. You will no doubt need to start your own personal Blog. I’ve started mine.
